Jumla DCCI commit to increase female representation on Executive Committee

Jumla District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has committed to increase the minimum number of reserved seats for women on their Executive Committee to 33%.

The DCCI tabled and agreed to pass RAP3 CONNECT’s policy reform “Female Representation on District Chamber of Commerce & Industry Executive Committees" recommending a minimum reservation of 33% for women members at their Annual General Meeting on 16th September 2018.

DCCI Doti exceeds 33% target for women Executive Committee members

The District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Doti held its first Executive Committee election since amending their constitution to include a reservation of 33% seats for women on the Executive Committee.   

1114 members voted in the election on 8th September 2018, electing six women and nine men.  At the first meeting the outgoing President and two further Committee members, one male and one female, will be appointed. 

Doti DCCI encourages membership of women business owners

RAP 3 CONNECT is working with Doti District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) to increase female membership and female representation on the DCCI's Executive Committee. 

During CONNECT's first year of implementation, Doti DCCI passed our policy reform paper “Female Representation on DCCI Executive Committees” which recommends a minimum reservation of 33% for women members.

Bajura DCCI to increase number of women on their Executive Committee

The Bajura District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has committed to increasing the minimum number of reserved seats for women on their Executive Committee to 33%.

The DCCI tabled and agreed to pass RAP3 CONNECT’s policy reform “Female Representation on DCCI Executive Committees’ recommending a minimum reservation of 33% for women members at their Annual General Meeting.

Last year the DCCI’s in Dadeldhura, Dailekh and Doti passed the same reform.

CONNECT advocates for increased seats for women on DCCI Executive Committees

CONNECT is working with District Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) to encourage women to join DCCI Executive Committees, advocating for policy reform to increase the number of reserved seats for women to a minimum 33%.  To date, Dailekh, Dadeldhura and Doti have passed the policy reform.

The Dadeldhura District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has committed to increasing the minimum number of reserved seats for women on their Executive Committee to 33%.

At the Annual General Meeting held on 11 September, the DCCI tabled and unanimously agreed to pass RAP3 CONNECT’s policy reform “Female Representation on DCCI Executive Committees’ recommending a minimum reservation of 33% for women members.
